We have learnt much since working with our clients over the years. Traditionally,
we would approach each project as consultants, understanding the processes, analysing your data and producing a series of
recommendations for consideration. This is still the preferred approach for many of our clients. However, some different approaches
have been more appropriate.....
Our key learning points over the years:
- Client staff are busy - we typically take
up less than an hour of a person’s time, even during the complete organisational reviews
- The data stored on the organisations IT system
is not necessarily accessible to client staff
- Management want a prioritised list of recommendations
so that they can focus on the few things that make the biggest difference
- Many senior staff and managers appreciate
a mentoring approach rather than consulting
- Many senior staff appreciate our coaching
based approach to help give them the tools and techniques to continue the improvements after we are gone
- We are being asked for more and more turnkey
solutions - addressing every issue and opportunity in a specific area of the business
- Our two year contracts with clients allows
us to work together to achieve an organisations changing goals and needs and to work with the staff to deliver the improvements
The different styles of work we do for our clients
- fixed price review of specific areas of the
business or the whole organisation
- performance related projects
- fixed term support contracts
- training courses
- conferences and speaking events
